WestWind offers a multi-disciplined engineering staff with extensive avionics, communications, navigation, radar, aircraft survivability equipment, and weapons systems integration experience on rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft. With added experience in modern advanced digital data bus architecture aircraft and legacy aircraft with federated avionics systems, WestWind engineering has produced design and analysis for over 40 systems that have obtained Air Worthiness Release (AWR) for installation on US Army, US Air Force, US Navy and Foreign Government’s aircraft. 

Using the latest computer-aided design and 3D modeling software, WestWind has produced extensive aircraft structural modification designs to support the installation of Forward Looking Infra Red (FLIR), External Rescue Hoist, Countermeasures Dispensing Systems and other systems. 

Combined with our robust analysis capability to verify and validate designs in support of AWR approval, we also have a FAA Systems and Equipment Electrical Designated Engineering Representative (DER) on staff to support our engineers during the testing and airworthiness certification of all design efforts.
