Huntsville, Alabama. (May 28, 2010) WestWind Technologies, Inc. (WTI) announces the availability of the External Hoist Arm. The Arm mounts on any Blackhawk aircraft equipped with ESSS hard points and works with all government approved hoists. The Arm is cost-effective and can be mounted in 20 minutes, which allows for rapid movement from aircraft to aircraft and utilization only when required by the mission. Installation of a standard electrical “A” Kit is the only aircraft modification required.
Chester Schickling, Vice President of Business Development at WestWind commented, “We are proud of our team who saw the External Hoist Arm through the engineering design, fabrication, and flight release process. We already have orders for a number of units. We are confident that the Arm will provide increased flexibility for hoist operations in combat situations and disaster relief efforts.”
