In addition to subsystem integration, maintenance of aircraft, systems support, and off-site task management, WestWind provides on-site aircraft maintenence of a variety of military rotary wing platforms.
Ft. Eustis Aircraft Maintenance and Support
Under this effort, WestWind provided Task Order Management, Field and Selected Sustainment Level Maintenance, and Aviation Maintenance Management in government-owned hangar facilities in Ft. Eustis, VA. WestWind was required to comply with all relevant government regulations for security, safety and health. WestWind managed the technical approach, organizational resources, and expenditure of resources to meet the price, performance and schedule requirements. Capabilities included prop and rotor, hydraulics, avionics, armament, sheet metal, engine and battery back shops. WestWind provided Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) capability to support tenant and satellite customers at Ft. Eustis. Aircraft were maintained in accordance with applicable TMs and all relevant U.S. Army regulations.
WestWind’s Ft. Eustis operations were ISO 9001 compliant and were conducted per AR 95-20 and in accordance with procedures approved by the Government Ground Flight Representative (GGFR). Tasks under this delivery order required aircraft maintenance for operational aircraft, Category B training aircraft, and Training Base Equipment assigned to Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), 128th Aviation Brigade, and other tenant and satellite units on Ft. Eustis, VA.
All work performed under this task was via customer requested work order and maintained in the Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation (ULLS-A) system. As a result of our successful performance during the base contract year, the United States Army Aviation Logistics School awarded WestWind a Certificate of Appreciation.
