WestWind's ILS capability includes technical writing and provisioning experience to provide the customer with the necessary documentation to operate and maintain the integrated system.
Operator technical manuals, maintenance manuals, Repair Parts and Special Tools List (RPSTL) manuals, Modification Work Orders (MWO), Technical Directives (TD), Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) and Technical Orders (TO) in many deliverable formats such as MS® Word, Adobe® PDF and XML are available as desired by the customer.
The provisioning team uses PowerLOG-J to provide the necessary provisioning data for integration into the repair parts database. The Provisioner utilizes the results of the Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) to generate the Maintenance allocation Chart (MAC) and establish the system maintenance philosophy.
The ILS, Technical Writer and Technical Illustrator team is comprised of personnel with the single goal of providing the best written documentation and illustrations achievable. The ILS team is experienced in the development of TD’s, TO’s, MWOs, AMWOs, RSNs, TMs and other documents such as:

- Naval Aviation Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS) Manuals

- Interim Support Items List (ISIL)
- Support Equipment Requirements Data (SERD)
The document templates originate from current standards and guides such as MIL-STD-38784, MIL-PRF-63002J, MIL-HDBK-1222, and MIL-STD-40051. The primary software for illustrations is Adobe® Illustrator and ISO Draw™. These software packages are compatible with Microsoft® Word, allowing transparent graphic insertion into the subject document and providing output files typically required for delivery to the customer. The Technical Illustrators have the skill and ability to create complex exploded views and isometric illustrations from orthographic engineering drawings or can generate line drawings if needed.
