WestWind’s Electrical and Mechanical Design Engineers have extensive avionics integration design experience on numerous military platforms.
Design engineering capabilities include, but are not limited to, complex systems schematics, electrical harness assemblies, control panels, relay panels and platform installation designs. Mechanical design engineering capabilities include, but are not limited to, design of complex sheet metal, machined and composite piece parts, assemblies and platform installations. The design section can produce designs in AutoCAD®, CATIA® and SolidWorks® CAD software formats. WTI has a robust conversion software application that converts CAD drawings between applications and provides an evaluation report confirming an accurate conversion.
All TDPs undergo a drawing review to ensure compliance with ASME Y14.24 and Y14.100 – 2000 and MIL-DTL-31000C standards prior to final submittal to ensure accuracy of the data, completeness of the information, drawing/document format correctness and understandability of the document/drawing. Engineering drawings and associated lists prepared by WTI are certified to provide the necessary design, electrical, mechanical, performance, transportability, manufacturing, quality assurance, and other requirements necessary to procure or manufacture an item that duplicates the physical and performance characteristics of the original without additional design engineering effort.
