About R2:   The Rapid Response (R2) Contract Vehicle -- the follow-on to the highly successful Rapid Repsonse and Critical Systems Requirements (R2CSR) contract -- is a multiple-award task order contract consisting of eight (8) separate Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts.  The scope of work includes programs and services that support aircraft, tracked and wheeled vehicles, ground support equipment, shelters and the War Fighter in rapid response efforts.  This contract will drastically reduce the response time for contractual pre and post award effort and in the monitoring of the ongoing delivery order.  Within as few as nineteen days or less following the development of a Request for Task Execution Plan (RTEP), a Delivery Order (DO) can be issued to begin work. The customer continues to participate in the work through an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and can monitor progress and costing through reports provided.
